About the Dawn Riders
Originally we were a small group within the B.W.A. (British Western Association.) We formed 7 years ago and travelled to various festivals around the country and also held Country & Western Evenings to raise money for charities.
We are a charity based organisation and since the formation of the Dawnriders,  we have raised over £2,000 for individuals and special needs schools. More information on our charity work can be obtained from the link on our website.
We started the Dawnriders Country & Western club on 1st March 2003 at Hesketh Bank Bowling Club in Southport. Due to a greater local interest the club is moving to Bury on 29th January 2005 where we will open our doors at a new venue; Bury Bridge Working Men's Club, Bury, Manchester.

Please feel free to come and visit us and take a sample of our authentic western atmosphere.
A warm and hearty welcome awaits you.......
About the Club
Our club is a small, friendly venue but always accompanied with an unbeatable atmosphere. We have a wide array of artists that visit our club, some more than others due to member demands and popularity, but these are always viewable on our Artist's page in advance.
Entry to our club is currently £3.50 for non-members and £3.00 for members. There are exceptions on some nights, when entry could be £4.00 due to the artist on that evening, again these are always advertised well in advance.
Refreshments are available at a small cost and we have a fully licensed bar at unbeatable prices and adaquate parking directly outside the club.
Our evening usually consists of the artist performing two sets, split in the middle with raffles, auctions, football cards etc. Although we are not a line dancing club, it is still but catered for before, during and after sets, and quite a popular place for dancers.
Although we encourage western dress, it is optional and not necessary at all, just have fun!
We do have theme weeks aswell, gambler, drover, saloon, indian, civil etc..more info on this can be obtained from the club and on our artist's page, and again, western dress is optional, not required.
Ending the evening is the only downside to our club......because no one wants to! We always finish with the American Trilogy, sometimes with variations of the Indian & Mexican trilogies and gunshot salutes.
For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us, or just pop down and see for yourself!
What we stand for
Everything we do as a club and as the Dawnriders is solely for others and we have no gain other than having a good time and seeing others who are needy benefit from our work.
We try and help individual cases and other charities who receive no government funding, but we really are close to helping children with needy causes. Since formation, we have donated over £5,000 in many seperate and worthy cases (viewable on our charity page.) Although this may not seem much, to us this is a great achievement as just to raise £100 takes many weeks and a lot of hard work from members.
All our members work extremely hard and are not afraid to dig deep and offer what they can for others who are not as fortunate as us. We are extremely proud of everything we do and have done and will continue to carry on our good work as long as we can.
